The journey
DISCOVER THE SECRET SPLENDOR OF AUSTRIA
On this trip, I will show you how terribly beautiful Austria is. We photograph epic mountain peaks, lovely valleys full of blooming alpine roses, deep forests, gurgling waterfalls, cute little churches and whimsical maple trees.
Late June is the perfect time to visit Austria. The mountain peaks still have a nice layer of snow and in the valleys you will find the most beautiful flowers.
To make the most of the trip, we stay in splendid locations alternating between luxury hotels and rustic mountain huts.
TRAVEL SCHEDULE
The workshop starts on Saturday afternoon at 15:00 at Salzburg Central Station. There I will pick you and your traveling companions up to begin the adventure.
We drive straight to the beautiful Gollinger Wasserfall, where we get to work with gray filters to capture the falling water beautifully.
After the Lienzer Hütte we drive a short distance to the unknown Virgental, where we stay in a luxury hotel. Nearby is a large waterfall, an old water mill and the picturesque Hubertuskapelle.
De volgende dag reizen we verder naar de Wildseeloderhaus. Deze berghut bevindt zich aan de oevers van een spectaculair bergmeer met uitzicht op de grillige toppen van de noordelijke Kalkalpen.
To conclude the trip. we stay two nights in a four-star hotel near the Grosser Ahornboden. This rugged valley is one of Austria's best-kept secrets and offers numerous beautiful compositions.
On the last day we photograph one more sunrise before returning to Salzburg. We arrive here again before 3 p.m.

Accommodation
What makes this trip special are the accommodations. Each accommodation is in a beautiful location at or near a photo spot. This allows us to easily shoot the golden hour in the morning and evening. We spend the night in a combination of luxury hotels and rustic mountain huts. In the hotels you share the room with a travel companion, in the huts you sleep in a dormitory.
IN THE BERGHUT
In mountain huts, accommodation is a bit more primitive. You sleep in bunk beds and with three or more people per room. Showers are brief. What you give up in luxury, however, you get back in charm, not to mention the views.
HOTELSTo relax, we stay in luxury hotels. Some hotels have sauna and wellness facilities. Please keep this in mind when packing.
