General conditions
Payment
To confirm the booking agreement, the traveler must pay a deposit. The deposit is 50% of the total travel price and must be paid within 14 days of receiving the invoice. Failure to do so will automatically cancel the booking agreement.
The remaining amount must be paid no later than 3 months before the start of the trip. Failure to do so will automatically cancel the booking agreement. The cancellation fees will be recovered from the traveler and amount to 100% of the deposit. If the trip is booked within 3 months before departure, the traveler must transfer the full travel price immediately. Until the payment is received, the organizer is free to give away the booking to other travelers.
Payment must be made in Euros at all times.
Health
During the trip, the traveler will be asked to hike over mountain trails and uneven terrain with a pack and camera gear. By registering for the trip, the traveler declares to be in sufficient health to participate in the trip and associated excursions without difficulty.
Cancel
The traveler may cancel the booking agreement at any time. Cancellation must be made in writing. Upon cancellation, the traveler shall owe the following amounts:
Up to 9 months before departure, cancellation is free of charge
Up to 6 months before departure: 25% of the deposit
Up to 4 months before departure: 50% of the deposit
Up to 3 months before departure: 100% of the deposit
Up to 1 month before departure: 75% of the total travel sum
Until the day of departure: 90% of the total travel sum
If a substitute is found, cancellation is free of charge. The traveler will get his/her money back once the replacement has fulfilled the invoice.
Trip cancellation by organizer
The organizer has the right to cancel the booking agreement before the start of the trip and refund the paid deposit or travel price without being liable for compensation. If the organizer cancels the booking agreement, he/she must inform the traveler in writing as soon as possible.
The organizer does not hold itself responsible for reimbursing airline tickets purchased by the traveler.
Force majeure
In case of force majeure, the organizer will try to limit the damage for the travelers as much as possible and, if possible, rebook the trip. If the traveler does not wish to take advantage of this, the travel sum minus the costs already incurred by the organizer will be refunded.
The new trip may not be more expensive than the total cost of the trip for which the traveler had booked. If the new trip has demonstrably less value, the organizer will communicate the difference in value in writing and refund it to the traveler's account.
Program change
There may be changes in the program in advance or during the trip because sights cannot be visited. In this case, the traveler is not entitled to a refund of the travel price.
Special needs
Special needs such as dietary requirements should be communicated to the organizer in writing before or during the booking of the trip. There may be additional charges for this. This will be communicated to the traveler prior to payment. If agreed in advance, the organizer will make every effort to meet these needs. The organizer has no responsibility for filling the special needs by third parties such as restaurants or hotels.
Insurance
The organizer does not provide insurance. However, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance that covers mountain hiking as well as cancellation insurance.
Liability
Under no circumstances is the organizer liable for death, bodily injury and resulting medical treatment. The organizer is also not liable for damage to, theft of or loss of personal property. The exception to this is intentional or negligent conduct by the organizer. In no case is the organizer responsible for the actions of travelers or third parties.
Traveler's obligations
The traveler is obliged to comply with all instructions given by the organizer or service providers to promote the proper execution of the trip. The traveler is liable for damages, injuries or costs resulting from failure to comply with this obligation.
Complaints
Complaints about the course of the trip should be communicated to the organizer both orally and in writing during the trip unless this is not reasonably possible. The organizer has an obligation of effort to find a solution. If this is impossible, the organizer is obliged to respond within one month in writing with reasons.
Minors
Minors are not permitted to participate in any trip organized by Kees' Photo Tours.
Printing errors
Obvious errors and mistakes in a publication do not bind Kees' Fotoreizen.
